NCAER requires a mature, highly experienced Librarian to manage the library and to lead its maintenance during a period of major changes on NCAER’s campus in New Delhi. Highly motivated, energetic candidates with a proven record who enjoy meeting challenges and have the following abilities and qualifications may apply.
- Proven competence in managing all aspects of a modern, large, economics ibrary
- Managing reduced library services and library storage during a period of transition from one location to another within the campus
- Knowledge and experience of digital libraries and of the phased and seamless conversion of a paper library to a digital one
- Ability to design and provide high-quality reference services to researchers
- Ability to manage and safe-guard high-value and unique archival materials
- Ability to reach out to the NCAER research community and provide training and incentives for greater leveraging of global information sources
- Masters in Library and Information Science with a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior level

(ii) Qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/ SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

ORIGIN OF THE SCHOOL
All of us are concerned about diminishing moral values and the growing intolerance among communities, castes and groups that make up our great nation.
Literacy, while opening up the entire world to these sections may also alienate them from their basic cultural strengths. SMCS was started with the sole aim in mind to ensure that children recognize the strengths of their own ethos. . . and build up their life and character on those.
Education at SMCS relies almost exclusively on activity based learning and continuous & comprehensive evaluation. We are bothered about the declining awareness among the children about their own cultural backgrounds. We aim at the acquisition of aesthetic and cultural sensitivity of each child on the campus, which is successfully done by the excellent, thorough sensitization and training of all teachers. Thus, here at SMCS, both Summative and Formative aspects of the child’s personality are enhanced and groomed.
The school is affiliated with CBSE, Delhi and follows the 10 + 2 scheme. The curriculum has been designed keeping in view the age group of children in each class and their heterogeneous mental level. It attempts to promote the development of understanding of basics, sharpening of thinking abilities, experimenting and exploring this activity based curriculum is planned to help each child to enjoy his schooling and meet his individual potential.
