A Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation with at least 55% marks of its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record set out in the UGC’s Regulations, 2010. 55% marks shall not be insisted for the candidates already working in University systems.
and
At least 13 years of experience as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years experience as a College Librarian. Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work.
and
A minimum score as stipulated in Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC’s Regulations i.e. Consolidated API score requirement of 400 points in Category-III (Research and Academic Contribution) in Appendix-III
Librarian
M.Phil/Ph.D degree in Library Science/ Information science/ Documentation/Archives and Manuscript-keeping. Knowledge of working in computerized environment.
Age: 55 years as on closing date of application.
