1. Deputation Basis.
(a) Person holding analogous post on regular  basis in Central Government or State  Government or Tribunals or commissions or  Statutory Bodies or Courts.
(b) The maximum age limit for appointment  on deputation shall be 56 years as on the  closing date for receipt of applications.
(c) The period of deputation including  the period of deputation in another ex-cadre  post held immediately preceding this  appointment in the same or other Government  Organisation/department shall ordinarily not  exceed three years.
2. On Re-employment on Contract basis:
(a) Ex-servicemen pensioners and civilian  pensioners retired from Government services  having experience of the post.
(b) Such appointment may be done for a  maximum period of one year and the  maximum age must not exceed 64 years or  posts are filled up as per RRs on regular basis  whichever is earlier.
3. Essential qualification for deputation/Reemployment on contract basis :-
(a) 10th Std passed from a recognised  Institutions or board or equivalent and
(b) Experience of working at least one year in  Library.

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
iii) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
